Since the world is ending in 2012, I think the original lyrics should be sung once again. In later years, Judy Garland sang a hybrid song of her movie version and the later Frank version. This is the version that people sing today. Hugh changed "Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow" to "Hang a shining star upon the highest bough." Frank called Hugh and asked him if he would jolly up some of the lyrics. In 1957, Frank Sinatra was recording an album called "A Jolly Christmas". Hugh refused at first to rewrite the lyrics but was later talked into changing them. Judy Garland refused to sing the song with those lyrics and asked Hugh Martin to change them. Hugh Martin wrote it for Judy Garland's 1944 movie, Meet Me in St. This instrumental was recorded by Trippie Redd, and released 3 years ago on Friday 9th of November 2018. This production is musically considered danceable. The original lyrics started with "Have yourself a merry little Christmas, it may be your last." "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was written solely by Hugh Martin although Ralph Blaine got credit for co-writing. The instrumental for Topanga is in the key of E Major, has a tempo of 106 bpm, and is 3 minutes and 35 seconds long.
